Vintage
Czech perfume bottle with
clear cut body and floral intaglio stopper, import label
This
lovely vintage bottle features an oval floral intaglio stopper with open
work in its middle. It has a slight champagne tint, though it appears
clear in photos. The stopper retains its dauber. This stopper is on item
#182 on page 37 of Jacquelyne Jones-North's "Czechoslovakian Perfume
Bottles" book.
The crystal body features radiating lines, diamond shapes and stepped
sides with shoulders. The bottle with stopper stands 5 2/8 inches tall
and is 2 7/8 inches at its widest. The body carries an oval "Made
in Czechoslovakia" acid mark on its bottom and retains a faded original
Morlee import label. The body can be seen as a reproduction in Ruth Forsythe's
book, "Made in Czechoslovakia." This bottle, however, is authenic
vintage and not a reproduction.
In
excellent vintage condition, the bottle has no chips, cracks, or even
flea bites on its body. There are a few very tiny pinpricks on the edge
of the stopper.
